How to reserve accommodation in Prague?
An accommodation facility on our website has caught your eye and you want to reserve it?The following instructions on “How to reserve accommodation in Prague?” apply for reserving all of our accommodation facilities apart from hotels.You can find information on how to reserve a room in one of our hotels and on reserving accommodation for groups in Prague, for which four or more accommodation facilities are required below in this instruction.
- There is a “RESERVATION” button beside the detailed description of each accommodation facility.
- Click on this button and a “PRELIMINARY RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION” will be displayed for you. Fill out this form and click on the “SEND” button, which will forward the form to our agency. Filling out the form is completely NON-BINDING!
- You can also find a “PRELIMINARY RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION” in the upper menu of the “RESERVATION” item.
- At the earliest possible opportunity, we shall provide you with confirmation as to whether the accommodation facility is free on the dates you require and we shall send you a “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION”. In the event that the facility is no longer free on the required dates, we shall send you an offer of several other similar accommodation facilities, which are in the same price bracket and in the same locality in Prague as the accommodation facility that was originally requested.
- In a “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION” you will use your credit card to guarantee the binding nature of your reservation (VISA, EC/MC or AMEX – embossed cards only, with plastic numbers not flat laser cards). Provide your personal information and credit card details, express your consent to the STOP CITY agency’s CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS, and send the completed “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION” back to us via e-mail.
- The exact amount in EUR that your credit card will guarantee will always comprise part of every “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION” which we send you. The amount of the sum guaranteed always corresponds to the amount of CANCELLATION FEES.
WE SHALL NOT DEDUCT ANY SUM FROM YOUR CARD. THE CARD MERELY SERVES AS A GUARANTEE FOR YOUR BINDING RESERVATION AND WE SHALL ONLY USE IT IN THE EVENT THAT WE ARE ENTITLED TO CHARGE A CANCELLATION FEE.IF SUCH A SITUATION ARISES, THE STOP CITY AGENCY MAY NOT DEDUCT A HIGHER AMOUNT FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD THAN THAT WHICH IS GUARANTEED IN THE “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION”.You can find details of the instances in which the STOP CITY agency is entitled to charge a CANCELLATION FEE HERE.- If you don’t want to sent your personal information and credit card detailsvia e-mail, you can print out and sign a completed “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION” and send it to us via fax to this number: +420 222 521 252
- If you don’t want to use your credit card to reserve accommodation, you can reserve the chosen accommodation facility by paying a deposit via a bank transfer amounting to the price of one or two nights accommodation or, as the case maybe, in the amount of 30% of the total price (the amount of the deposit required always amounts to the amount of CANCELLATION FEES).
- In this case, we shall send you our bank account number, which you can transfer the deposit to. You can also pay a deposit through a postal order sent to our agency’s address (this only applies to payments made within the Czech Republic) or delivered in person to the STOP CITY office at Vinohradská 24, Prague 2, 120 00.
- As soon as we receive a completed “BINDING RESERVATION FORM FOR ACCOMMODATION”, we shall verify whether your card is valid. If it is valid, we will send you “Binding Confirmation of an Accommodation Reservation”. If you decide to reserve the chosen accommodation facility by paying a deposit via a bank transfer or by way of a postal order, we will send you “Binding Confirmation of an Accommodation Reservation” after receiving the deposit in our bank account or by post.

- After making a binding reservation in one of our hotels, it is necessary to pay a deposit, which either amounts to the price for one night or 20-30% of the total price of accommodation. We shall inform you of the exact amount of the deposit upon request. This shall always pertain to a specific reservation for a room in a hotel.
- There are four ways in which you can pay a deposit for accommodation in a Prague hotel:
- bank transfer: we shall send you our bank details
- by way of a postal order sent to our agency’s address (this only applies zo payments within the Czech Republic)
- with a credit card (VISA, EC/MC or AMEX – embossed cards only, with plastic numbers not flat laser cards): we shall send you a “MAIL ORDER” form, which you fill out and send back to us via e-mail or fax
- in cash upon visiting the STOP CITY office in person at Vinohradská 24, Prague 2, 120 00.
- As soon as we receive your payment, we shall send you “Binding Confirmation of an Accommodation Reservation” and the precise address of the reserved hotel. On the day you are due to check in to your accommodation in Prague go directly to the hotel, where you will also pay the remaining amount for your stay. There is no time restriction on your arrival at the hotel. You can come during the day or throughout the night.
